Obituary of Evelyn Young

Evelyn Young, age 89 passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at her home in the Pollard Community, OK. She was born on April 25, 1924 in Haworth, OK, the daughter of Martin and Bessie Jones Wright. Evelyn was a homemaker. She truly loved her family and was the greatest Mom and Nanny. Evelyn attended the Haworth Missionary Baptist Church and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David "Bodge" Young; sons, David H. Young and Ronald T. Young; and a daughter, Carol Cameron. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory her sons and daughters-in-law, Martin and Linda Young and Johnny and Detra Young; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jack Ferguson; sisters and brother-in-law, Margie McNeal and Mary and Buddy Nowell; granddaughters, Jackie Marsh and Vic, Carolyn Williston, Evelyn Herron, Donna Griffin, Terri Grimes, Emily Davis, MayLeen Donaldson and Stephen, Lacinda Davis and Joe Wayne and Teresa Flanagan and Pat; grandsons, Mark Young and Allison, Ronnie Young, David W. Young and Chad Young; 30 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Haworth Cemetery with Bro. Roger Williams officiating.
