Obituary of Loretta Bailey

Loretta Bailey, age 78, of Idabel, OK passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at her home. She was born on September 17, 1935 in Claremore, OK, the daughter of Claude and Laura Pohlman Martin. Loretta worked in the cafeteria at Idabel High School for over 30 years where she was known as "Grannie Bailey" to all the students. She enjoyed word search puzzles and spending time with family and friends. Loretta was a member of Holiness Assembly of God in Idabel, OK. She had lived in McCurtain County since 1969 coming from Baxter Springs, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud Bailey; son, Richard Bailey; and a step-son, Lee Harris. Loretta is survived by her son, David Bailey of Idabel, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and Byron Hamil of Haworth, OK, Donna and Aven Easton of Poteau, OK, Catherine and Roger Altamira of Lancaster, TX, and Renee and Keith Stout of Garvin, OK; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice Parris and Lena Neet, both of Tahlequah, OK, Betty and Wesley Ledbetter, Marilyn and Johnny Post, all of Idabel, OK; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Rev. Philip Snow officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in the Forest Grove Community, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 at the funeral home.
