Obituary of Mary Hauser

Mary Ellen Hauser, age 87 of Idabel, OK passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Idabel, OK. She was born on April 6, 1926 in Springdale, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis V. Johnson and Clara Christensen Johnson. Mary Ellen worked as a secretary before retiring. She had lived in Idabel since 2005, moving here to be closer to her family. Mary Ellen had previously lived in Columbia, Mississippi for several years. She was a member of the Idabel First United Methodist Church and also the Methodist Church in Columbia, MS. Mary Ellen Enjoyed crocheting. Mary Ellen was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul G. Hauser; and a sister, Wanda Youngs. Mary Ellen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Ramona Hauser of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Kimberly and Sean Dalton, Kelley Valdez, Matthew and Mistie Hauser, Neville "Bo" and Teresa Thornhill, Chastity and Rusty Shirley and Joshua and Ashli Warren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and a nephew; several other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the funeral home in Idabel, OK. There will be a visitation at the Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia, MS. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
