Obituary of Nora B Murphy

Nora B. Murphy, age 98 of Idabel, OK passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Idabel, OK. She was born on August 4, 1915 in Tom, OK, the daughter of Willie and Ethel Counts Stewart. Nora B worked at Kellwood Company for many years and made a lot of dear friends during her time there. When she was younger she worked at Minter's Grocery which was owned by her sister-in-law. Nora B was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church where she served as secretary of her Sunday School Class. She was a devoted mother and was a lifetime resident of the Idabel area. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud Murphy; a son, Bill Brown; grandson, Richard Brown; brothers, Bill Stewart and T.A. Stewart; and a sister, Maybelle Bradshaw. Nora B is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jimmy Potts of Idabel, OK; granddaughter, Tina and husband, Juan of Zapata, TX; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery in Idabel, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the funeral home.
