Obituary of Jeanette Dillard

Jeanette S. Dillard, age 93 of Idabel, OK passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Idabel, OK. She was born on February 18, 1920 in Idabel, OK, the daughter of Tuck Squire Simpson and Angie Lena Sumpter Simpson. Jeanette was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She served over 9000 hours as a volunteer pink lady at McCurtain Memorial Hospital. Jeanette was a member of the First Christian Church in Idabel, OK and was an avid sports fan. She had lived all of her life in Idabel except for the over 20 years she spent at different locations around the country because of her husband's job with the US Government. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glyn D. Dillard; a brother, Joe Simpson; and sisters, Leta Simpson and Esther Wauhop. Jeanette is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Ray Flores of Plano, TX and Linda Dillard of Murray, UT; her son, James Dillard of Idabel, OK; a sister-in-law, Melba Mead of Miami, OK; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Rev. Paul Redden officiating. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery in Idabel, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the funeral home.
