Obituary of Fred Hall

Fredrick J. Hall was called home to be with his Lord September 5, 2013 at 5:45 a.m. in the Veterans Administration Center at Clinton, Oklahoma. Fredrick B. and Annie Mae “Hamilton” Hall became parents of a blue eyed, happy, son on February 3, 1927 two miles east of Foss, Oklahoma. On his 18th birthday he enlisted in the United States Navy “SeeBees” and was a veteran of WWII. After his discharge he graduated from Foss High School. On January 24, 1948 he married Nela M. Medders in Clinton, Oklahoma. Fred has been a successful businessman starting in Clinton, Ok in the 1950’s. He managed Hop’s Texaco and entered into the oil field in 1956. He moved to Idabel, Ok. in 1971 and became the owner of Idabel Concrete and Fred’s Tire. He retired at the age of 81. He enjoyed and lived for his wife, children, grands, great-grands and great-great-grands. Fred loved everyone he met and greeted them with a big smile. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joy Haas; brother, Z. Edgar Hall; grandsons, Fredrick Spencer Hall and Nathan Gregory Hall; great nephew, Jeffery Commer and a niece, Judy Commer. Fred is survived by his wife, Nela M Medders Hall of the home, a daughter, LaDonna Hall Burlingame; son, Fredrick E. "Gene" Hall all of Idabel, OK; brother, Ray Hall and wife, Fran of Georgia; grandchildren, Lora and husband, Steve Brown, L.D. and wife, Mandy Scharnhorst; great-grandchildren, Renee and husband, Robby Purcell, Cassie Dension, Alicia Aho, Justin Scharnhorst, Treavor and Zackery Scharnhorst, Stacy Tabor and husband, Glen; great-great-grandchildren, Ethan and Emalyn Purcell, Camden Jones, Zayah Barker and Kiley and Kolby Taylor; several nieces and nephews Services will be Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Idabel, OK with Bro. Doug Clements officiating. Burial will follow at Denison Cemetery, Idabel, OK The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the funeral home in Idabel, OK.
