Obituary of Clara Moore

Clara Moore, age 84 former resident of Idabel, OK passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at her residence in Carthage, MO. She was born on January 23, 1929 in Ada, OK, the daughter of Carl and Juanita Denham. Clara was a pastor's wife for many years. Her husband Hershel Moore served as pastor for several Missionary Baptist Churches in Oklahoma and Arkansas. They lived in Idabel, OK for several years until Clara moved to Carthage, MO following her husband's death in 2006. Clara was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel, OK. She was a loving mother and grandmother and the Church and her family were her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hershel Moore; several brothers and a sister. Clara is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanne and Bill Anderson of California, Deborah Conway of Oregon, Darlene and Dale Moose of Purcell, MO, Delores and Bill Thomas of Carthage, MO and Anita and Jose Barela of California; son and daughter-in-law, Jess and Sue Weightman of Carthage, MO; brother, Curt Denham of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Betty Wesley of California; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel, OK with Bro. Doug Clements officiating. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery in Idabel, OK.
