Obituary of Ida B Chapman

Ida B. Chapman, age 95 of Idabel, OK went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Idabel, OK. Ida was born June 14, 1918 in Grannis, AR, the daughter of Edmond and Annie Dalrymple. She was raised in Broken Bow, OK where she married Robert Mitchell Chapman on April 17, 1935. Ida and Robert moved to Idabel, OK in 1948. She enjoyed crocheting and was a talented seamstress. She was a devoted member of the Assembly of God Church and was very active in her Church.. Ida worked for the Oklahoma State University Nutrition Extension Program for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Chapman; a son, Tommy Chapman; 8 sisters; and a son-in-law, Dr. Kennith Mowery. Ida leaves to cherish her memory a son and daughter-in-law, Philip Robert Chapman and Busta of Texarkana, TX; daughters and son-in-law, Bobbie and Wilburn Dollarhide of Idabel, OK and Joann Mowery of Euless, TX; grandchildren, Danny Dollarhide and Sherry, Jerry Dollarhide and Betty, Shelly Mowery-Rhoten and Sherman, Mark Mowery and Susan, Robert Chapman, Marcy Chapman-Reese and Mark; great-grandchildren, Carrie Humphries, Jill Dollarhide, Blake Dollarhide, Jeremy Dollarhide, Nathan Dollarhide, Amanda Mowery, Megan Mowery, Amy Mowery, Rustin Reese and Hannah Chapman; 9 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Bro. Horton McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the funeral home.
