Obituary of Eric Masters

Eric Henry Masters, age 50, former Idabel, OK resident passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013, at Poteau, OK. He was born on January 8, 1963 in Redding, CA, the son of Earl and Wilma Masters. He loved his family and spent most of his time with them. He loved watching his grandchildren and taking them to the park. Eric was an avid football fan and his favorite teams were the OSU Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He attended the Southside Baptist Church in Poteau, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers; and his wife, Carol Denise Masters. Eric is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Kerri Dollar of Broken Bow, OK; daughters and son-in-law, Melody and Ousman Ceesay and Toni Powell, all of Poteau, OK; grandchildren, Jackson and Bradon of Poteau, OK; a brother, Lee Masters of the Holly Creek Community, OK; a sister, Kathy Masters of Broken Bow, OK; mother-in-law, Carolyn Powell of Millerton, OK; several nephews, nieces; other loved ones and many friends. Services will be Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 10:00a.m. at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Glover Cemetery in Glover, OK with Bro. Greg Matlock officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the funeral home.
