Obituary of Frank Plemmons

Frank Plemmons, age 67 of the Cisco Community, OK passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Idabel. He was born on September 10, 1945 in Idabel, OK , the son of O.F. and Melba McDaniel Plemmons. Frank married Linda Benton on May 31, 1973 in Broken Bow, OK. Frank was a longtime Minister and member of the church of Christ. He enjoyed preaching the gospel and writing articles for church bulletins and newspapers. Frank preached for several different congregations in Oklahoma and Arkansas. He was also an educator for 42 years. He taught in Missouri, Battiest, OK, Broken Bow, OK, Holly Creek Community, OK, Little Dixie Headstart and most recently the Forest Grove School where he served as Librarian. Frank was instrumental in setting up libraries in Tom, OK and the Forest Grove School. Frank loved spending time with his grandchildren and taking them to see the cows. He enjoyed growing watermelons and sharing them with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother and sister. Frank is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Plemmons of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Misty and Duane Pigg of Garvin, OK and Carol and Roger Hoffman of Shady Point, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Lyndon and Ivadell Plemmons of Battiest, OK; grandchildren, William, Cameron and Brandon Pigg of Garvin, OK and Emmy and Aleric Johnson of Shady Point, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Lynn Lane Church of Christ with Rodney Watson and Aubrey Thompson officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Sherwood Cemetery in the Sherwood Community, OK. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the funeral home
