Obituary of Larry Garrett

Larry Garrett, age 65 of Watson, OK passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Ft. Smith, AR. He was born on April 3, 1948 in Luxora, AR, the son of Bill and Nettie Self Garrett. Larry was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a mechanic for several years and also in construction. Larry enjoyed working on cars, fishing and going to storage auctions. He was an avid sports fan and coached his kids in softball and baseball. Larry was very devoted to his family and loved spending time with them as well as his many friends He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Carol Winship, Sherri Foreman and Glenda Miller; nephew, Kyle Garrett; niece, Cristi Jackson; mother-in-law, Valeda Bonner; brothers-in-law, Albert Carrell, Bobby Bonner and James Bonner; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Parrish and Kaye Bonner. Larry is survived by his wife, Jo Garrett of the home; his son Larry "Boy" Garrett Jr. of Watson, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Holli and Philip Webb of Idabel and Kelli Garrett and Aaron Coleman of Hatfield, AR; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Debbie Garrett, Johnny and Linda Garrett, Jerry Wayne and Jody Garrett, Jimmy and Sharon Garrett, David and Kim Garrett, Michael and Gabrielle Garrett and Boone Garrett and Joyce; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy and Harvey Grace, Diane and Wayne Copeland and Kathy Carrell; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Holly Creek Cemetery in the Holly Creek Community, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the funeral home.
