Obituary of Brian Fitzgerald

Brian Fitzgerald, age 41, of Idabel, OK passed away on Monday May 27, 2013 at Rockdale, Georgia. He was born on July 16, 1971 in Nashville, Tennessee. Brian worked in construction all over the country. He was an avid sports fan and was a loyal fan and follower of the Tennessee Volunteers. His best times were spent with family and friends watching whichever sport was in season. Brian loved catfishing on the river bank with his son and brother-in-law. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis L. Fitzgerald. Brian leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Julie, and children, Austin and Kylie, all of the home; mother and step-father, Phyllis and Wayne Osborn of Olive Branch, Mississippi; sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Brian Baskin of Dickson, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Karen Fitzgerald of Collierville, Tennessee; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dennis and Jeanne Wilson of Idabel, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Todd and Jennifer McCoy of Idabel; sister-in-law, Lynne Fitzgerald of Munford, Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Hunter Baskin, Chelsea Baskin Cain, Brennen Fitzgerald, Cameron Fitzgerald, and Jade McCoy; bonus family members the Bracken/Peek family of Georgia, the Jackson family of Idabel, and his best friend, Chris Ragan; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. Brian loved life and lived it passionately, his family will miss him beyond measure and he leaves many friends too numerous to count for he never met a stranger and had a smile for everyone. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Idabel with Rev. David Mercer officiating. If you knew Brian, you knew of his love for the Tennessee Volunteers. His family would love to honor Brian with a request for people if possible to wear orange and white, as he will be. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Fitzgerald Family Care Fund at the First National Bank, 702 E. Washington, Idabel, OK 74745.
