Obituary of John Sullivan

John Sullivan, age 68, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his home in Idabel, OK. He was born on March 9, 1945 in Odessa, TX. John married Hazel Pierce on August 28, 1999 in DeQueen, AR. John worked many years as a truck driver hauling freight all over the country. For the last 3 years he was a gate attendant for the McCurtain County Solid Waste. John was a hard worker and spent most of his time working providing for his family. He enjoyed computer games and watching television programs such as "Swamp People". John had been a resident of McCurtain County since 1985. He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Francis Sullivan. John is survived by his wife, Hazel Sullivan of the home; his mother Anita Scarborough of Idabel, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Dana and Kevin Sullivan of Idabel, OK and Dina and Jared Bell of Soper, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Kristy Sullivan of Palestine, TX; his sister, Joyce Guest of Garvin, OK; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, AJ and Beulah Trammell, Shirley Trammell, Eleanor Littrell and Carson Finch and Eugene and Betty Pierce; special friend, Jim Simpson; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Bro. Eugene Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery in the Forest Grove Community, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
