Obituary of Jannie Woodrum

Jannie Woodrum, 94, of Idabel, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Idabel. She was born July 7, 1912 in Emory, Texas, the daughter of E.F. Ogburn and Lillian Slider Ogburn. Jannie was a homemaker, and worked as an aide at Memorial Heights Nursing Home for several years where she loved caring for her patients. She was a Christian and was affiliated with the Baptist Faith. Jannie loved spending time with her family especially her many grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alton Woodrum; great-grandson, Jeremy Woodrum; sisters, Lola Mae Harris, Ledra Ogburn, and Carol Gean Ogburn; brothers, E.F. Ogburn Jr., and 2 infants. Jannie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Dorothy Woodrum, and Phil and Alice Woodrum all of Idabel; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Jim Garrett of Garvin; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
