Obituary of Bennie Pollard

Bennie Pollard, age 81, of Idabel, OK passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Idabel, OK. She was born in Lovington, NM on June 15, 1931, the daughter of John and Johnnie Wood Rogers. Bennie graduated High School from Post High School in Post, TX in 1949. She married Cleatus Pollard on July 24, 1951 and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2012. Bennie was a homemaker. She loved taking care of her family and her home. Bennie was very artistic, she enjoyed arts, crafts and painting. She was always working on a project around the home. Bennie was a faithful member of the Lynn Lane Church of Christ and had lived in Idabel since 1966. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; granddaughter, Kaci Pollard; grandson-in-law, Chad Dawson; brother, Weldon Rogers and infant brother, Harvey Rogers. Bennie leaves to cherish her memory son and daughter-in-law, Richy and Liz Pollard of Idabel, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Wayne Pond of Idabel, OK; brother, Joe Rogers of Florida; grandchildren, Lloyd Pond of the Redland Community, OK, Russell and Laura Pollard of Purcell, OK, Laura and Curtis Fennell of Swink, OK, Jeff Fisher of Cuero, TX, Angela and Jimmy Mullens of Garvin, OK, Michael Fisher and Tassia of Idabel, OK and Katie Fisher of Idabel, OK; 9 great-grandchildren; special caregivers, Kimberly Irwin and Debra Breitling; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Lynn Lane Church of Christ in Idabel, OK.
