Obituary of Cloyce Jo Cannady

Cloyce Jo Cannady, age 70 of Idabel, OK passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Idabel, OK. She was born on December 14, 1942 in Abilene, TX, the daughter of Cloyse and Josephine Kezer Davis. Jo married Kenneth Cannady after a short courtship on June 14, 1969 in Wichita Falls, TX. Jo often told friends that the first time she looked into Kenneth's eyes, she knew h was the one for her and she never changed her mind about that. Kenneth preceded her in death on October 30, 2012. She worked outside of the home for most of her adult life and by her husband's side for many of those years. Jo loved and treasured every moment of every day with her family. She and Kenneth raised 8 children together and Jo said there is nothing more special than bringing up a large family. Jo leaves many memories for her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth L. and Merridith Cannady of Enid, OK, Paul and Sally Dunlap of Toledo, OH, Timothy and Evelyn Dunlap of Paris, TX, Tony Dunlap and Shaun Cannady, both of Idabel, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Patrick Ruffner of San Diego, CA, Jodeana and Hansel St. Clair of Butcher Pen, OK and Kendra and Aubrey John of OKC, OK; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Bro. Chuck Darby officiating. Interment will follow at Canfield Cemetery in Idabel, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
