Obituary of Dorothy Woodrum

Dorothy Mae Bivings Woodrum, originally of Idabel, OK passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Lita Woodrum. She was born on September 28, 1937 in Idabel, OK, the daughter of John Henry Bivings and Marie Alice Rush Bivings. Dorothy married Don Woodrum in Broken Bow, OK on September 2, 1955. They were married for 56 years. Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing spades and bingo, sewing, drawing, ceramics, cooking, watching her sons play baseball and spending time with family and friends. Dorothy was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Woodrum in 2012; sisters, Betty Jean and Carolyn; and a grandson, Jeremy Woodrum. Dorothy is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Larry Woodrum of Idabel, OK, and Charlie and Lita Woodrum of Bella Vista, AR; daughter, Debbie Woodrum of Collinsville, OK; brothers, James Bivings of Idabel, Robert Bivings of Waukomis, OK and Roger and Sharon Bivings of Idabel, OK; her sisters, Delois Gilbert of Broken Arrow, OK, JoAnn Smith of Idabel, OK, and Sandy and Greg Willis of Wright City, OK; grandchildren, Tori Elmquist, Jennifer Wright, Tamara Woodrum, Shane Byassee, Carie Byassee and Ashley Woodrum; 13 great-grandchildren; a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Bro. Jerry Byassee officiating.
