Obituary of Venia Webster

Venia Webster, age 94, of the Cisco Community, went to be with God on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Hill’s Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the last three months. She was born June 1, 1912 at Plum Bayou, Arkansas, the daughter of Charlie and Laura Cotton. Venia was a homemaker, and had a great love for the outdoors. Before her health failed Venia enjoyed gardening and fishing. Her favorite hobby earlier in life was quilting. Venia was known as a gracious hostess and always welcomed family and friends. She was a member of the By-Pass Church of Christ and had lived most of her life in the Cisco Community. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe Webster; a son, Rex Webster; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Venia is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Ozeda Bushers of the Cisco Community, Shirley and Bill Johnson of Claremore, and Nan and Phil Berglan of Houston; a daughter-in-law, Janie Webster of the Cisco Community; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
