Obituary of Pat Smithson

Patricia "Pat" Smithson, age 55 of Haworth passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Tulsa, OK. She was born on April 10, 1957 in Houston, TX, the daughter of Gene and Janice Simmons Gerber. She married Michael "Smitty" Smithson on December 30, 1978 in Simms, TX. Pat was a homemaker and a C.N.A. She helped her husband at Smitty's Garage for the last several years. Pat loved to fish and enjoyed camping, hunting and making quilts. She was affiliated with the Haworth Church of Christ and had lived in Haworth, OK since 1980. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Pat is survived by her husband, Michael "Smitty" Smithson of Haworth, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Wayne Smithson and Tabitha of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren, Kylan Kane, Karli Kane, Beau Smithson, Tyler Smithson and Drake Smithson; brothers, Jeff Gerber of Alabama and Garth Gerber of Houston, TX; and sisters, Gina and Janessa both of Houston, TX; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Juanita Friend of Moon, OK, Mary Allen of Haworth, OK, Nora and Jimmy Cox of Simms, TX, Marvin and Debbie Smithson of Texarkana, TX and Charlotte Canady of Valliant, OK; fishing buddies, Eddie and Debbie Garrett and Don and Rita White; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many many friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Haworth Assembly of God Church in Haworth, OK. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to a charity of your choice.
