Obituary of Sharon Martin

Sharon Martin, age 66 of Idabel passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Texarkana, TX. She was born on August 23, 1946 in Atoka, OK. Sharon was a wonderful homemaker and cook. She worked for Kellwood for several years. Sharon went to work as a Deputy Clerk for the City of Idabel in November of 1991. She loved her co-workers and they became like family. She married James H. Martin on September 9, 1983 in Idabel. She and James enjoyed their time together. They loved the beach and vacationing in Florida and did so at every opportunity. Sharon was a member of the Idabel Freewill Baptist Church and had lived in Idabel since 1971. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend and she will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her father, Jess Hall; her beloved daughter, Monica Coffman; and children, Mike Martin and Teri Martin. Sharon leaves to cherish her memory her husband James H. Martin of the home; her mother, Virginia Hall of Idabel; children and spouses, Ricky and Vicky Martin of Hochatown, OK, Jerry Don Martin, James Martin Jr. both of Idabel, OK and Nancy and Darrell Hedrick of Rattan, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Weldon and Carilin Hall of Farris, OK; grandchildren, Steve Martin, Lisa Martin, Tori and David Elmquist, Leah and Shaun Somers, Dalaine and Heather Hedrick, and Madison Martin; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, Jessica Smith and Crystal Gossett; special friends, Kim Corley, Glenda Brown, Ernesteen Chrisman, Tina Foshee-Thomas, Nola Williams and Jim Coffman; several other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery in Idabel, OK with Rev. Jerry Jeffcoat and Rev. Miles Wesner officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the funeral home.
