Obituary of Vera Jackson

Vera Jackson, age 96, of the Goodwater Community, OK passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Idabel, OK. She was born on August 20, 1916 in Wright City, OK. Vera was an accomplished homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and loved taking care of her family. Vera enjoyed quilting, was a member of the Redland Church of Christ and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Daffney Evans; her husband, Joe Henry Jackson; brothers, Orville Evans, Houston Evans and Allen Evans; granddaughter, Cristi Jackson; and a great-grandson, Matthew Morgan. Vera leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Troy Jackson and his wife, Bobbie of the Goodwater Community, OK and Joe Allen Jackson and his wife, Della Mae of Durant, OK; grandchildren, Jeff Jackson, Carla Daggett, Theresa Procell, Jake Jackson and Joey Jackson; great-grandchildren, Cassi Langley, Cole Jackson, Hudson Jackson, Riley Daggett, Haley Daggett, Dane Daggett, Kelsey Jackson, Josh Procell, Jordan Procell, Case Jackson, Carson Jackson and Wyatt Jackson; great-great-grandchildren, Kambree Procell, Luke Langley and Marlee Jackson; several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Redland Church of Christ with Victor Balagbagan officiating. Interment will follow at the Philadelphia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the funeral home.
