Obituary of JR Jumper

Ivan Lee Jumper JR, age 52 of Idabel passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Tulsa, OK. He was born on September 21, 1960 in St. Louis, MO. JR worked in construction and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing and spending time with family and friends. JR was an avid Nascar fan and loved his dogs, especially "Smiley". JR was affiliated with the Kulli Tuklo Methodist Church and was a lifetime resident of Idabel. He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Lee Jumper SR; step-father, Rolland Davenport; and brothers, Allen Davenport and Richard Davenport. JR is survived by his wife, Elsie Jean Jumper of Idabel; sons, Jason Jumper of Idabel and Jacob Jumper of Lawton, OK; daughters, Elsa Wesley and Lyndon McKinney of Broken Bow, Terri Farley and Genaro Pacheco of Broken Bow, Kim and Harold Allan of Idabel, Amanda Jumper and Randall Smith of Chickasha, OK, Amy Jumper and Edward Butcher, Jessica Jumper and Lori Jumper all of Idabel; mother and step-father, Verna Mae Davenport-Howard and John Howard of Defiance, MO; brothers, Andy Jumper and Bill Davenport both of Defiance, MO and Kerwin Davenport of Tama, IA; a sister, Denise Montgomery of Ofallon, MO; nephew, Andrew Jumper of Defiance, MO; special friend, Maxine Archuletta of New Mexico; 15 grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Kulli Tuklo Methodist Church in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Kulli Tuklo Cemetery. A wake service will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the funeral home.
