Obituary of Nancy Farley

Nancy Louise Mellott Farley, age 68, of the Redland Community, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her home. She was born on August 19, 1944 in Waynesboro, PA, the daughter of Collins and Frances Bitner Mellott. She met Denzel DeWayne Farley in Greencastle, PA and they were united in marriage on December 12,1962. They moved to McCurtain County in 1964 and began their family. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a long-standing member of the Redland Quilting Club and the Redland Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, Carl and Beulah Farley. Nancy leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 50 years, Denzel Farley of the home; three sons, Lyndon Farley of the Redland Community and Jan Farley of the Pollard Community, Dennis and Stacy Farley of the Redland Community and Norman Farley and DeAnna Payne of the Pleasant Hill Community; grandchildren, Shane Farley, Lucas Farley, MaKayla Austin, Judson Farley, Ashlyn Farley, Jonathan Parker, Jessie Batson, Nick Batson, and Kirsten Payne; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Denny Davis of St. Johns, FL; aunt and uncle, Jean and John Acker of Greencastle, PA; many other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Doug Clements officiating. Interment will follow at the Redland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the funeral home.
