Obituary of Nellie Vaughn

Nellie L. Vaughan, age 95, of Idabel, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, OK. She was born on December 30, 1916, the daughter of William Austin and Junie Ridge Oglesby Nellie was a loving mother to three daughters, Donna Pryor, Muriel Crownover and Gail Black. She was a loving sister and friend to many. Nellie was known to have helped many who were less fortunate than she. She was a member of the Spirit Rock Church in Millerton, OK. The family is comforted by the fact that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Muriel and Gail; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; a granddaughter; and one great-grandson. Nellie is survived by her daughter, Donna Pryor of Idabel, OK; brother, Harless Oglesby and wife, Sandra of Winthrop, AR; a sister, Norma Franklin of Hot Springs Village, AR; grandchildren, Tommy Lynn Deardeuff, Gerald Deardeuff, Terry Deardeuff and Jack Ross all of Garberville, CA, Ojeta Laxton and husband, James of Ringold, OK and Janeine Smith and husband, Pete of Pottsville, TX; numerous great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the Spirit Rock Church in Millerton, OK with Bro. Troy Ruffin officiating. Interment will follow at the Piney Cemetery in King Ryder, AR. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the funeral home.
