Obituary of Michael Doyle Jackman

Michael Jackman, 54, of Idabel, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012 at his home in Idabel. He was born on July7 31, 1958 in Idabel, OK, the son of Dayton and June Wickersham Jackman. Michael grew up in Idabel and was a 1976 graduate of Idabel Gray High School where he was voted "Mr. Tushka". He was a firefighter for the Idabel Fire Department for over 10 years. He also worked at June's Furniture his family's furniture business. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Michael was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt. Michael was a loving father and loved spending time with his grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, Dayton and June Jackman. Michael is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Jeremie and Bobbie Jackman of Idabel and Janson Jackman of Durant, OK; daughter, Cassie Jackman of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Sage Jackman, Sadie Jackman and Aydinn Jackman all of Idabel; brother, Terry Clark Jackman and wife Cindy of Wright City, OK; sister, Gayna Carter and husband Scott of Tulsa, OK; aunts, LaVerne McCain, of Idabel, OK and Goldie Jewell, of Vancouver, WA; an uncle, Dewey Wickersham, of Hugo, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Idabel, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of June Jackman, American Cancer Society, 6525 N. Meridian Suite 110, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
