He met his wife when she was 14. She saw him in the bus line and told her girlfriend " I am going to marry that guy" and she did at the age of 16. They enjoyed 49 years together and still held hands when they walked and rode in the car. They were always in love and forever will be. Don always wanted to be wherever his wife was, everyday he told her how beautiful she was and that he was glad she was his woman. Jerry Don was devoted to Glenda and his soul purpose in life was to see her happy and he never left her side but only for a few days in 49 years. Jerry Don loved his family and God above all else. He loved and enjoyed all the things of nature, fishing, gardening, feeding the birds, loving on his dogs and most of all spending time with his wife and family. A kind and generous man who read his bible and prayed daily. Jerry Don will be greatly missed and forever loved by his family and friends. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Grace Assembly Church in Idabel, OK with Aubrey Thompson and Bro. Gabe Elliott officiating.
