Obituary of Kenneth Johnson

Kenneth Johnson, age 73, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 in Tulsa, OK. He was born on October 3, 1939 in the Forest Grove Community, OK, the son of Franklin Johnson and Della Whitten. Kenneth was raised and lived in Garvin, OK area for most of his life until recently moving to Broken Bow, OK. Kenneth was retired. He most recently worked for the U.S. Forestry Service. Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing. He enjoyed drinking coffee and watching the weather channel. Kenneth was affiliated with the Garvin Full Gospel Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Johnson, Sam Johnson LeRoy Wiles; and sisters, Betty Johnson, Jimmie Lee Johnson and Pauline Wiles. Kenneth is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Tammy Johnson of Wright City, OK, Chris Johnson of Wright City, OK, Billy Johnson Honey and Kerri of Germany; daughters and son-in-law, Kristy and Michael Jordan of Broken Bow, OK and Misty Johnson of Idabel, OK; step-son, Steven Meier of Sherman, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Leon Melton of Millerton, OK and Katherine and Harold Rodgers of Comfort, TX; grandchildren, Tooter, Tater, Jessica, Colton, Caleb, Hannah, Austin, Brady, Dylan, Chase, Tristan; 3 great-grandchildren and one soon to be born; other step-children who he loved dearly; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Garvin Cemetery in Garvin, OK with Bro. David Jordan officiating.
