Obituary of Paul Wayne Griffin

Paul Wayne Griffin, age 75 of Ashdown, AR passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at DeQueen, AR, losing his fight with Alzheimers. He was born on September 29, 1936 at home in Haworth, OK, the son of O.D. Griffin and Vera Barrett Griffin. He was an honest and hard worker. Paul was a glass installer and owned and operated his own business Griffin's Continuous Guttering for several years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, growing peppers and playing country and gospel music on his guitar. Paul was a genuine person and taught his children to work hard. He loved helping people as well as pulling a good joke on them. He was preceded in death by parents; a daughter, Debra Kay; daughter in law, Marilyn Griffin; a grandson, Jessie Griffin; and brothers, Ray Griffin and Joe Griffin. Paul is survived by his children, Andrea, Mark and Pam; his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Patsy Griffin; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Chuck Bear; his significant other, Hilda; sister-in-law, Iris Griffin; grandchildren, Jeremy Griffin, Joshua Griffin and Daniel Griffin; great-grandchildren, Lily Griffin and Peyton Griffin and Bobby; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Denison Cemetery in Idabel, OK.
