Obituary of Linda Parish

Linda Bonner Parish, age 67, of the Forest Grove Community, OK passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012 at her daughter's home in Idabel. She was born May 9, 1945 in Broken Bow, OK, the daughter of Thomas and Valeda Robertson Bonner. She worked as a Deputy Court Clerk for McCurtain County since 1993. Linda enjoyed her job and was a very hard worker. She was always kind and considerate and because of this made many friends working in the Court Clerk's office. Linda was a devoted mother grandmother and great-grandmother. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her greatest joy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hershel Odell Parish in 1983; and brothers, Thomas Bonner, Bobby Bonner and James Bonner. Linda is survived by her son, Hershel Parish of the Forest Grove Community, OK; daughters and son-in-law, Kim Corley of Idabel and Teelaine and Dwight Mowery of Texarkana, AR; grandchildren, Brent and Kendra Corley of Garvin, OK, Ashlin Corley of Idabel, OK and Kayla Mowery of Texarkana, AR; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Kathy Bonner of Broken Bow, OK and Flenoia and Sheila Bonner of Idabel, OK; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jo and Larry Garrett of Watson, OK and Debbie and Darrell Garrett of Hatfield, AR; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Idabel, OK with Bro. Jerry Jeffcoat officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery in the Forest Grove Community, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the funeral home.
