Obituary of Micheal Gilbert

Micheal "Mike" Lynn Gilbert, age 56, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Texarkana, TX. He was born on April 28, 1955, the son of Corlis and Wilma Coleman Gilbert. Mike was a 1974 graduate of Idabel Gray High School. He enjoyed hunting and collecting guns. Mike loved to drive his jeep around and visit with his friends. He was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was preceded in death by his father, Corlis Gilbert in 2011; and a brother, Gary Wayne Gilbert. Mike was survived by his mother, Wilma Gilbert, who is now deceased. He is also survived by his son, Brandon Gilbert of Eagletown; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Ryan Hesterlee of Eagletown; grandsons, Roper and Ryder Hesterlee of Eagletown; sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Flenoia Bonner of Idabel; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Forest Hill Cemetery in the Forest Grove Community, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the funeral home.
