Obituary of Helen Coleman

Helen Coleman, age 92, of Tom, OK passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012 in Idabel, OK. She was born on March 16, 1919 in Dierks, AR., the daughter of Orville and Oma Gray Wilson. Helen worked several year’s as a nurse’s aide at McCurtain Memorial Hospital and Oak Grove Manor. She was an accomplished homemaker, wonderful cook and an avid daily reader of her Bible. Helen loved the outdoors and always raised a beautiful flower garden. She enjoyed fishing, puzzle books and crocheting. Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, L. J. Wilson; and sisters, Esta Lee and Delphia Green. Helen is survived by her daughter, Brenda Green and her husband Charles “Chip” Green of Tom, OK; grandchildren, Sheila (Green) Vines, Donnie Green and Stacy (Green) Nickelson; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Tom Cemetery.
