Obituary of Don Woodrum

Don Woodrum, 76, of Idabel passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at his home. He was born on October 25, 1935 in the Pleasant Hill Community, OK, the son of Alton and Mozelle Ogburn Woodrum. Don married Dorothy Bivings in Broken Bow on September 2, 1955. Don retired from Brown and Root where he worked at the Valliant Paper Mill for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Don was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play. Don was an active little league baseball coach. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church and was a lifetime resident of the Idabel area. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Jeremy Woodrum. Don is survived by his wife, Dorothy Woodrum, of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry Woodrum of Idabel and Charlie and Lita Woodrum of Bella Vista, AR; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jim Clark of Collinsville, OK; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Jimmy Garrett of Idabel; brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Alice Woodrum of Idabel; grandchildren, Tori Elmquist, Jennifer Wright, Tamara Woodrum, Shane Byassee, C.J. Byassee and Ashley Wilson; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the White Family Chapel with Bro. Greg Matlock officiating.
