Obituary of Emma Louise Bonnett

Emma Louise Bonnett, age 75, entered in to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at her earthly home after fighting a long and courageous battle with renal failure. She was born on October 23, 1936 in Corrine, OK, the daughter of L. P. “Bill” and Vallie Stevens Townsend. Louise was a 1955 graduate of Idabel Gray High School. Louise loved to cook and was well known for her chicken and dressing at church dinners and family meals. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was affiliated with the Mt. Zion Church of God until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and father of her children, Steve E. Frunk and husband, Gerald “Smoke” Bonnett; brother, Charles Allen Townsend; and a granddaughter, Heather Stout. Louise leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sister and caregiver, Josephine Payne-Rhea; a son, Gary Frunk and wife, Darlene; daughters, Regina Stout and Rita Miller, all of Idabel; sister, Pamela Sander and husband, Randy, of Broken Bow; brother, Harmon Townsend of Idabel; step-daughter, Gayla Bonnett Williamson of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Christopher Frunk of Killeen, TX, Joe Frunk of Idabel, Jeremy Frunk of Colorado Springs, CO, Michael Stout and wife, Melissa, of Durant, OK, J. B. Atterberry of Nashville, AR, and Rachel Thomas and husband, Jody, of Hot Springs, AR; ten great-grandchildren; nephew, Clay Luper of Idabel; niece, Brooke Horn and husband, Shawn, of Russellville, AR; two special cousins, Allen Scarborough of Idabel and Wendell “Bud” Smith of the Goodwater community; other relatives and a host of friends. Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel with Rev. Jimmie Birdsong officiating. A private entombment will be at the Denison Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in loving memory of this wonderful lady. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011.
