Obituary of Claudy McKeever

Claudy McKeever, age 54 passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Idabel. He was born on April 8, 1957 in Idabel, the son of Claude and Gwendolyn Clayborn McKeever. Claudy worked in apartment building maintenance and construction before becoming disabled. He loved to quilt and fish. Claudy won several awards for his quilting. He lived at Memorial Heights Nursing Home and enjoyed using his talent to help people at the nursing home with their clothing alterations. Claudy served as President of the Nursing Home Advisory Council. He had lived most of his life in McCurtain County. He was preceded in death by his parents. Claudy is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip and Jean McKeever of Idabel and Jack and Pauline McKeever of New Boston, TX; sisters and brother-in-law, Sue Beall of Idabel, Sharon and Roger Bivings of Idabel, Nancy Steabile of Blossom, TX and Glenda Heathman of Idabel; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel.
