Obituary of Mary Bohlman

Mary Bohlman, age 73 of Idabel passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Paris, TX. She was born on November 3, 1938 in Idabel, the daughter of Ed and Jessie Shumaker. Mary was a homemaker. She worked at Mary’s Bakery in downtown Idabel many years ago. Mary worked in the cafeteria at the Idabel Middle School for several years and loved being around the children. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and going to yard sales. Mary loved spending time with her boys and the rest of her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a lifetime resident of Idabel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Jessie Shumaker; husbands, Rex Post Sr. and Jack Bohlman; a brother, Dan Shumaker; her sister, Jessie Steavenson; and a brother-in-law, Richard Beard. Mary is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Rex and Janet Post of Paris, TX, Willie Post, Andy Post, Roy Post and Robert and Tracy Bohlman all of Idabel; sisters, Ruth Beard of the Pleasant Hill Community and Pat Holmes of Idabel; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Idabel with Bro. Shawn Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in the Forest Grove Community. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the funeral home.
