Obituary of Doris Jean Browning

Doris Jean Browning, age 81 of Idabel passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Idabel. She was born on November 23, 1929 in Millerton, OK. Doris married Jimmie Browning on December 19, 1952. Jimmie truly was the love of her life. They were inseparable and loved cattle farming, fishing, and gardening together, as well as spending as much time as they could at their cabin. Doris loved the Lord with all of her heart. There was always a smile on her face when she was in church worshipping God. Doris always prayed for her family. She enjoyed taking care of her husband and family and cooking meals for everyone. Her favorite past time was flower gardening. She loved spending time with her hands in the dirt and preparing for her annual plant sale. Even over the past several years since she had been ill, you never would hear her complain and she never wanted to be a burden to anyone. It was truly her desire to be a witness and a blessing to everyone she came in contact with. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Justus; mother, Mary Justus Wade; and her brother, Charles Justus. Doris is survived by her husband, Jimmie Browning, son, Jimmie Keith Browning; daughter, Kaye Browning; brother and sister-in-law, Arthur Dean Justus and Charlene; sister-in-law, Wanda Conaway; grandchildren, Brad and Ginny Snider, Aaron Browning, Zach and Adrienne Browning, Brad and Morgan Browning, Calen Cawley; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Haworth Assembly of God Church in Haworth, OK with Bro. Jason Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery in Idabel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the funeral home.
