Obituary of Maudie Jordan

Maudie Jordan, age 88 lifetime resident of McCurtain County passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011. She was born on October 9, 1922 in Pickins, OK, the daughter of Arthur Bailey Smith and Myrtle Whitney Smith. Maudie was a homemaker. She was of the Pentecostal Faith and enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Homer Jordan; sisters, Edna Roden and Perrilee Williamson; and brothers, Emmitt Joe Smith, Albert Smith and Herman Smith. Maudie is survived by a nephew, David L. Smith and Shirley Roan of Idabel; great-nephews, Karry Smith of Oklahoma City and Wesley Smith of Idabel; a great-niece, Diana and Roy Dudal of Broken Bow; a sister, Velma Roberts of Oklahoma City; many other relatives and friends. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the White Family Chapel with Sis. Frances Melton. Interment will follow at Valliant Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the funeral home.
