Obituary of Lucille Harris

Bonnie Lucille Harris, age 89 passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Idabel. She was born on December 3, 1921 in the Redland Community, OK, the daughter of Carl Dollarhide Sr. and Mary Lou Melson Dollarhide. Lucille was a homemaker. She was very devoted to her family, always making time for them, encouraging them and helping in whatever way she could. She was a member of the Redland Church of Christ. Lucille enjoyed gardening, being outdoors and quilting with the Redland Quilters. Lucille will be greatly missed but the example of her faith, being community minded and always taking care of her family will live on. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, T.P. Harris in 1998; a brother, Carl Dollarhide Jr.; and a sister, Eula Wilson. Lucille leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Lou Ann and Tom Jackson of the Redland Community; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy Joe and Claudia Harris of Miami, OK and Carl and Janice Harris of Collinsville, OK; grandchildren and spouses, Scott and Sarah Harris, Joel and Toye Harris, Shelly and Shannon Heaps, Jason and Michelle Harris, Patty and David Dobbs, Paula and Paul Delozier and Julie and Tony Wyatt; her sister, Mildred Bashore of Paulding, OH; a sister-in-law, Ellen Dollarhide of Idabel; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Redland Church of Christ with Victor Balagbagan officiating. Interment will follow in the Harris Cemetery.
