Obituary of Glenda Williams

Glenda Williams died peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 with her daughter, Lori, by her side at Cross Timbers Care Center in Flower Mound, Texas, where she had lived for the past twelve years. She was born on August 14, 1933 in Haworth, OK, the daughter of Roy and Grace Trula McBrayer Voyles. Glenda was a graduate of Idabel Gray High School. She was a homemaker and worked for several years at Helms Drug Store and Sherman’s Shoe Store in Idabel. She enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to Christian music and singing. Glenda was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Idabel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Isaac “Ike” Williams; and brothers, Edward Voyles, Roy Voyles, Jr., and Charles Voyles. Glenda leaves to celebrate her life, her daughters, Karen Morrison and husband, Rick, of Kimberling City, MO, and Lori Rowland and husband, Kenneth, of Lewisville, TX; grandchildren, Lonnie Morrison of Kimberling City, MO, Sara Rowland, Matthew Rowland, and Joshua Rowland, all of Lewisville, TX; sisters, Bernice Montgomery and husband, Bill, of Paris, TX, Norma Wall, and husband, David, of Mount Pleasant, TX; sisters-in-law, Ann Voyles of Great Falls, MT, Mynell Voyles of Watauga, TX, and Jean Voyles of Valliant, OK, aunt, Lillie Hill of Idabel, OK; many nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Friday, July 22, 2011 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the White Family Chapel with Joe Voyles officiating. Interment will follow in the Denison Cemetery.
