Obituary of Louise Friend

Louise Friend, age 82 of Haworth passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at Texarkana. She was born February 23, 1929 in Annona, TX, the daughter of John and Dollie Ann Smith Tollison. Louise was a homemaker. She enjoyed raising a garden and embroidery. Louise loved to fish and be outdoors. She was a member of the Moon Church of God and was a lifetime resident of the Bokhoma area. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, William Allen Watson and Joe Edward Watson; daughter-in-law, Judy L. Watson; and several brothers and sisters. Louise is survived by her husband, James Friend of Haworth; son, Thane Watson of Haworth; daughters, Carolyn Little of Doddridge, AR and Althea Ramsey of the Holly Creek Community; step-children, James E. Friend of the Union Grove Community, James H. Friend of Maude, TX, Mary Sue Hamm and Barbara Friend both of Idabel; a sister, Val Nolte of Ashdown AR; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Moon Church of God with Bro. Cecil Atnip and Bro. Lonnie McKenzie officiating. Interment will follow at the Haworth Cemetery.
