Obituary of Faye Cauthen

Stella “Faye” Cauthen, age 90, lifetime resident of the Haworth area passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011 at her home. She was born on April 5, 1921 in the Pleasant Hill Community, the daughter of Sam and Ida Gurley Cauthen. Faye was a homemaker. She worked at the Kellwood plant for 15 years and later at the Haworth Public Schools until her retirement at the age of 79. Faye enjoyed quilting, embroidery, word search puzzles and working in her yard. She was affiliated with the Assemblies of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kent Lawler; a great-grandson, Jason Lawler; brother, Junior Cauthen; and sisters, Louise Atwood and Edith Cox. Faye leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Betty Scott of Haworth; grandchildren, Gary Scott, Holly Scott and Jay and Lisa Scott all of Haworth, Randy Lawler of Madill, OK, Lisa Mannion of Texas and Sherry Lawler of Valliant, OK; a sister, Eunice Cox of Union Grove Community; brothers, Pete Cauthen of Gillham, AR and Kenneth and Dortha Cauthen of Gladewater, TX; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Haworth Cemetery in Haworth, OK.
