Obituary of Jean Jones

Jean Jones, age 82 passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Idabel. She was born on June 11, 1928 in Haworth, the daughter of James and Annie Waits McCoy. Jean attended school in Haworth. Jean was a homemaker. She along with her husband Andy Jones owned and operated Andy’s Mini Mart Grocery Store in Idabel for several years. Jean was a member of the Grace Assembly Church in Idabel and was a lifetime resident of the Idabel area. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andy Jones; a brother, Wylie McCoy; and sisters, Sammie Moses and Rossie Knapp. Jean leaves to cherish her memory a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Sandy Jones of Idabel; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Bob Wright of Idabel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Pat McCoy of Eldorado, AR and Jesse and Barbara McCoy of Broken Arrow, OK; a brother-in-law, Dock Jones of Idabel; a sister-in-law, Ruth McCoy of Broken Bow; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the White Family Chapel with Rev. Elwayne Schaeffer officiating. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery in Idabel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the funeral home.
