Obituary of Carl Buzbee

Carl Edison Buzbee, age 91 passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Idabel. Carl was born on February 11, 1920 in Idabel, the son of Jessie and Myrtle Buzbee. He was a graduate of Idabel Gray High School. Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a decorated WWII combat veteran in the 45th Infantry Division serving in North Africa and Europe. He worked for many years at the Chevrolet Dealership and at McCurtain Auto Supply. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Idabel and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel Dyer Buzbee; brothers, Rex, James, Jack and Banks Buzbee; and sisters, Mary Benson and Claire Smith. Carl leaves to cherish his memory a sister, Sarah Kilgore of Idabel; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the White Family Chapel with Rev. Bruce Brotherton officiating. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery in Idabel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011 at the funeral home.
