Obituary of Ruby Marlene Melton Williams Rankins

Ruby Marlene Melton Williams Rankins, age 71, of Idabel passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Idabel. She was born on April 5, 1940 at Idabel, the daughter of Jessie and Mary Johnson Melton. Ruby was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Idabel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Eulon “Red” Williams and Eldon Rankins; a grandson, Mickey Turnage; great-grandson, Matt Turnage; a brother, Oscar Melton; brother-in-laws, Dannie Penrod and Harry Denham. Ruby is survived by her children, Kevin and Dena Williams of Horatio, AR, Sheila and Roger Turnage of Idabel, Cherrie and Jackie Riddle of Marlow, OK and Linda, Ernie, Wanda, and Eric Rankins; brothers and sisters, Howard and Ruth Melton of Virginia, Wanda and Jr. Newman of Waurika Lake, OK, Janice Penrod of Walters, OK, Willard and Pat Melton of Marlow, OK, Carol and Jim Denham of Rush Springs, OK and Alice Denham of Duncan, OK; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
