Obituary of Ella Nora Jones

Ella Nora Jones, 69, of Idabel passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, TX. She was born January 17, 1942 in Ephrata, PA, the daughter of Ivan and Nora Wenger. Ella Nora was a resident of Idabel for over 40 years. She owned and operated the Gemini Coffee Shop for many years. Ella Nora was also a foster parent to many children offering her home and her love to several small children. She married Dock Jones December 22, 1959 in Idabel, OK. Ella Nora enjoyed redecorating, cooking, and working in her yard. She loved her family and spending time with them. Ella Nora was particularly happy when watching her home repair shows on television and, in her mind, redecorating the various rooms in her house over and over. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Nora Wenger; her sister, Esther Huntley; and a brother, Ray Wenger. Ella Nora is survived by her husband Dock of the home, daughters Renee’ Haynes and husband Ken of Idabel; Donna Dye and husband Michael of Idabel; and a son, Dr. Wayne Jones of Durant, OK; her sister, Ruth Wood and husband Ken of Ft. Worth, TX; brother, Eugene Wenger and wife Sue of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Chris Haynes, Jordan, Drew, Emily, and Johnny Berg; step-grandchildren, Colby Dye, Callie Dye, and Seth Berryhill. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel with Bro. Greg Matlock officiating. Interment will follow in the Denison Cemetery.
