Obituary of Carol Cameron

Carol Cameron, 60, of the Pleasant Hill Community, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 at her home. She was born September 13, 1946 at Dumas, TX, the daughter of David and Evelyn Wright Young. On March 17, 1993 she married Dannie Cameron at DeQueen, AR. She was affiliated with the First Missionary Baptist Church of Haworth. She was of the Baptist Faith. Carol and her family moved from Texas to Oklahoma and back several times until finally settling in the area in 1981. She worked as a secretary for the U.S. Forestry Department until her illness no longer permitted. She was an antique collector. She collected tin cans of all kinds, porcelain dolls and her most recent interest was collecting roosters. She loved reading and listening to gospel music. Carol was preceded in death by her father, David Young, youngest brother, Terry Young and her oldest brother, David Henry Young. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Dannie Cameron of the home; daughters, Evelyn Herring of Hatfield, AR and Donna Griffin of Haworth; mother, Evelyn Young of Haworth; brothers and sister-in-law, Martin and Linda Young of Garvin and Johnny Young of Greenriver, WY; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jack Ferguson of Haworth; 5 grandchildren, Kasi Dollarhyde, Chance Allen, Domingo Perez, Daine Griffin, Stormey Barnett; 5 great-grandchilden; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
