Obituary of Paul Scarborough

Paul Scraborough, 79, of Valliant, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Paris, Texas. He was born December 30, 1930 at Yukon, Oklahoma, the son of Mamie and Paul Scarborough, Sr. He was a member of the Bypass Church of Christ. Paul graduated high school from Valliant. During his school years he was very active in FFA and won an award in judging competitions. He was a millworker for many years as well as a rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nora Cox. Paul is survived by his wife, Anita Scarborough; son and daughter-in-law, Harlan and Darcey Scarborough of Lebanon, Oregon; daughter, Paula Burroughs of Albany, Oregon; sisters, Edith Rice, Geneva Provence and Delane Wilkinson; grandchildren, Kristy Willie, Jason Scarborough, Gabe Burroughs and Dustin Burroughs; 3 great-grandchildren; step-children, Joyce Guest of Millerton, John Sullivan and wife, Erma of Idabel; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be on 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Bypass Church of Christ with Wayne Warren and Larry Brinkley officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hope Harbor in care of the Bypass Church of Christ.
