Obituary of Violet Pearl Potts

Violet “Pearl” Potts, 88, of Broken Bow, passed away Tuesday January 16, 2007 at Broken Bow. She was born November 6, 1918 to Otto and Gracie Maude Fryer Pratt at Blackgum, Oklahoma. She married Pettus Potts at Idabel on November 5, 1938. Pearl was a sales clerk in Broken Bow for many years. She was a long time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Broken Bow and a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. Pearl was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and two sisters. Pearl leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Pettus Potts of Broken Bow; daughters and son-in-law, Myrna Caplinger, Nora Austin, Joyce and Frank Meddock, all of Broken Bow and Neva Ann Kegley of Claremore; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
