Obituary of Gary Stone

Gary Stone, 48, of Foreman, AR passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 at his home in Foreman, AR. He was born August 31, 1961 in Dallas, TX, the son of James and Jewel Martin Stone. He married Meleony Oglesby on May 10, 1988 in Honolulu, HI. Gary was a 1979 graduate of Haworth High School. He earned a degree in jewelry technology and owned and operated jewelry stores for close to 20 years first in Foreman and later in Idabel. Gary loved camping, fishing, and riding his Harley. He attended the Prince of Peace Church in Foreman and was a lifetime resident of this area. He was preceded in death by his father, James Stone. Gary leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Meleony Stone of the home; his mother, Jewel Stone of Tom; brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy Stone of Idabel, and Doug and Jayleen Stone of Tom; sister, Susie Owens of Tom; mother-in-law and father –in-law, Bruce and Billie Oglesby of Foreman; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Neely Oglesby of Texarkana, AR; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. This is Gary Stone. He is a good man, who is loved by all who know him. He lives his life with honor and integrity. Gary always does the right thing no matter how difficult it might be. He loves to fish and go camping. He loves his friends and family. He loves his God and Savior. Gary loves to ride his motorcycle. He loves his wife. Gary is kind and helpful to everyone, without exception. Gary has a terrible sickness that has devoured his body, but not his spirit or love of life. Never once has he complained or said why me. He simply does his best as he always has. A lot of people who love Gary want to see him. Gary and his family asks that you see him healthy, happy and whole, as you always knew him to be. Gary’s friends, family, and his wife with tears on our face and hearts bursting with pride, surrendered him to God on Monday morning March 15, 2010. We send with him to his new family this prayer of introduction. This is Gary Stone. He is a good man. We love him and we miss him.
