Obituary of Annie Lee Thompson

Graveside services and Interment will be 11:00a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Lambert Cemetery, Lambert, Mississippi. Annie Lee Thompson, 84 of the Harris Community, passed away March 10, 2010 at her home. She was born August 30, 1925 at Daleville, Florida the daughter of James and Katie Lee Harrell. Moving to McCurtain County 5 years ago, Annie lived most of lifetime in Duncan, Mississippi. She enjoyed crocheting afghan which she made for each grandchild and great-grandchild when they were born. She was famous for her cooking, especially her biscuits. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John D. Thompson; infant son, James Ray Thompson; son, Johnny Thompson; brother, Raymond Harrell. Annie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Traci Thompson of Leland, Mississippi; daughters and son-in-law, JoAnn and Chris Columbus of the Harris Community and Betty Sue Porter of Natchez, Mississippi; grandchildren, KrisAnne Columbus, Micky Kellum, Penny Powell, Katie Mitchell, Ryan Porter, Ray Thompson; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
